Tidal Zone Protection

Tidal zone protection products are used for pilings in the splash zone. The aggressive offshore environment of splash and inter-tidal zones makes corrosion control a challenge for conventional methods. These areas are exposed to waves, seawater sprays and the atmosphere. The high concentration of salt, oxygen, temperature variation, and mechanical damage due to flotsam and jetsam makes the splash zone the most easily corroded part of the structure and also the most difficult to protect against corrosion.

The Tidal Guard System secured with a bolted system prevents corrosion in harsh marine environments by using a uniquely formulated combination of petrolatum-based marine primer, marine petrolatum tape and protected by HDPE outercover.

Ideal for the corrosion protection of offshore risers, steel and concrete wharf piles in the splash and tidal zones.
